No ceremony?
Would anyone have a problem if we just eloped? :)

My father offered each of my sisters $10,000 to elope. It was worth it to him to not have to go through the whole process of planning and hurt feelings and frustration and pain and tears and color choices and food choices and meeting with the florist and meeting with photographers and talking about this and talking about that and renting stuff and etc. He would then throw a big party for them when they got back where they could invite anyone they wanted
Neither one of them took him up on it.
So. If you do elope you would be smart. But if you don't, you'll be happier. There are so many adventures in life and we hopefully only get married once.
Do it for the stories that you can tell.
I don't know about the others, but I'd be upset if we couldn't celebrate with you guys. Whatever it is you choose to do, your friends want to be witness to it! So if you elope, just let us know where we can go to peek in a window or somethin! :)
You could always get married in Hawaii with just the two of you, then come back and have a big party/reception with your friends and family to celebrate. I've heard about that as a popular way to "elope" without pissing off too many people and still having a big celebration.
Sure, you can elope. Just be sure to invite me to go with you!
My wife and I had a surprise wedding (not that you could pull this off now since everyone can read this LOL but it's a good story)
We staged a suprise birthday party for my wife, but earlier that day, we went to the courthouse to tie the knot. When we showed up for the surprise party, we were all dressed up in our wedding getup... the surprise was on all the guests. So we actually had a wedding reception party. Lot's of fun, everyone partied, and nobody had their hands in the wedding.
I need a reason to leave Tucson, don't elope! I want to party. Take care.
