Last summer when we signed the contract with Ryan and they told us that our house would be completed around the same time as our Hawaii vacation, I knew this summer was going to be a little nutty.
Wow, it's really been a long time since I blogged. A really long time. Especially since I was getting so good at blogging at least once a week. I guess that's what moving and stuff does to ya'.
We're all moved in and getting quite settled in at the house. There's only a few boxes left that still need to be unpacked, my home network is mostly wired, and my surround sound is..uhh still not hooked up.
The most amazing thing (for me) this time has been the sheer VOLUME of STUFF that we've needed to purchase over the past few weeks. I don't remember it being that bad when we moved into the townhouse. Sure, we bought the usual towel bars, etc., but the outflow of money is boggling my mind.
Which stinks because you never wanna feel cash-strapped when you go on vacation. But, tomorrow we leave for the Big island of Hawaii for a week and then we hop over to Kauai for a week there. I'm really starting to get excited about:
1.) Going back to Hawaii, quite possibly the most beautiful and amazing place I've ever been.
and
2.) Being away from work. Simply put, I need a break. I need some me time. Work's been really busy with lots of new hires and new computers.
Hopefully I'll have some time to blog while in Hawaii and post up some photos.

Dern! I just saw this post. Actually, my sister and Carry Alford are in HI now. I think she has been there since the 10th. She got pretty sick the 3rd day, but is OK now.
